Shurley is Digital

During the development phase of our newest edition of Shurley English, our own in-house team of technology experts worked in tandem with our authors. Together, they designed digital enhancements, tailor-made for our unique approach to Language Arts instruction.

We developed our digital curriculum to:

  • enhance the lessons with stimulating multi-sensory input.
  • incorporate strategies to engage the brain and enhance understanding.
  • activate and maintain student engagement within each lesson.
  • provide parental support for at-home review opportunities.
  • meet the growing need for technology instruction and learning in the Digital Age.
  • deliver upgraded content and improvements, dynamically.

The Digital Classroom

The Shurley English Digital Classroom contains everything one classroom needs to complete the school year using Shurley English. To effectively implement this digital product, each student will need a compatible computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Each Digital Classroom contains 20 Digital Student Textbooks and a Digital Teacher's Bundle.

Digital Student Textbook

Each lesson in the Digital Textbook includes numerous digital enhancements, such as audio, video, animations, interactive whiteboard content, and printable worksheets. Simply click the interactive i at the bottom of the screen to view the special content. The student may access the textbook from school or home, dependent upon teacher settings.

Digital Teacher's Bundle

This bundle consists of a Digital Teacher's Manual and a projectable Student Textbook, where the interactive content can be launched during lessons. Within this bundle, teachers have access to modified worksheets, blank templates, and other helpful teaching aids across all the Shurley English grade levels. To take full advantage of the interactive features, an Interactive White Board is best, but you may also use a standard white board or pull-down screen.

In transition: Print + Digital

For those classrooms that need traditional print products, but also want the advantage and convenience of teaching from the digitally enhanced Student Textbook, the Print + Digital package is for you.

In this offering, the print and digital materials are intended to work in tandem. You may purchase the Print + Digital at the same time, or you may purchase the print version now, and add the digital components later. The choice is yours. The flexibility is yours. As your classroom changes, so can your Shurley English materials.
