In 1989, Brenda Shurley sought to create an English program that would reach children with different learning abilities, instill a love of learning, and give students a solid foundation from which to build advanced writing and speaking skills. Thus, the Shurley curriculum was born.


Today, we continue to research, analyze, and assess what best helps students reach their full potential, while staying true to the hallmarks that have made Shurley English successful for over 30 years.
